South Delta United Announces Leadership Updates

South Delta United (SDU) is excited to share several key updates to our leadership and coaching team as we continue to build momentum and shape the future of our club.

Adam Day, SDU’s Director of Football, has accepted a new opportunity as First Assistant Coach of the Portland Thorns FC. We’re proud to see Adam take this next step and are grateful for the leadership he brought during a time of transition. Working closely with Chris Cerroni, Adam played a key role in restructuring our coaching staff and strengthening operational processes that will benefit the club for years to come. His exceptional on-field expertise and passion for the game inspired our coaching team and elevated our technical standards. As he steps into his new role, Adam will continue to offer transition support to help maintain continuity. We thank him for his contributions and wish him every success in this next chapter.

Building on the momentum Adam and Chris established, we’re pleased to announce Chris Cerroni’s promotion to Sporting Director. Chris will oversee SDU’s technical, operational, and strategic soccer direction in this expanded role. He will lead coach development, guide program design, and work closely with the Board and Club President to ensure alignment with national standards and continued player growth. His leadership will be key to shaping a strong, sustainable future for SDU.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Jason Jordan as SDU’s new Technical Director.
Jason is widely respected for his ability to nurture talent and elevate coaches and players across all levels. He brings extensive experience in youth development and coaching leadership, most recently as Technical Director at Fusion FC. Jason, a former pro and national team player, pairs technical expertise with firsthand insight into the player journey.

In his new role, Jason will lead SDU’s player development programs—including our Academy, Grassroots, and Team Development streams—while mentoring coaches and ensuring consistent, high-quality programming.

With Chris and Jason guiding our technical direction—and a talented team of coaches supporting players across all age groups—SDU is well-positioned for a bright and exciting future. Stay tuned for more exciting coaching announcements coming soon.

To our SDU families and community: Thank you for your continued support and patience through recent changes. Building something strong and sustainable takes time, and we’re proud of our progress. We’re energized by what’s ahead and grateful to have you with us on the journey.
