Introducing the SDU Pre-Intake Academy (U12 & U13 Players)

Over the past year, many families have asked about opportunities for players to prepare locally for competitive soccer pathways. We’ve listened — and we’re excited to launch the SDU Pre-Intake Academy!

This new program is designed to give motivated players the tools they need to succeed in their intake year and beyond, without leaving the community. Led by Head Coach Brent Branker, the Academy combines professional-level training with SDU’s supportive, player-first environment.

What to Expect

• Core Skills: First touch, passing, dribbling, striking, and defending.

• Tactical Awareness: Spacing, pressing, movement off the ball, and transition play.

• Athletic Foundation: Speed, agility, coordination, and balance.

• Mindset & Habits: Confidence, teamwork, and focus on and off the field.

• Pathway Prep: Build the foundation needed to smoothly transition into competitive intake teams at U14 and beyond.

Program Details

• Ages: U12 & U13 boys and girls (2014 & 2013)

• Day: Mondays @ Dugald Turf

• Times:
  – 6:00–7:15pm U12 & U13 Girls
  – 7:15–8:30pm U12 & U13 Boys

• Dates:
  – Fall Module: Sept 15–Dec 8 (no session Oct 13)
  – Winter Module: Jan 5–Mar 2 (no session Feb 16)

• Cost: $500 (Sept 15–Mar 2)
